3D Quick Press

3DQuickPress is a SolidWorks add-on providing the 3D solution for Die Designers. With a 3D solid model of the part, these products allow users to unfold the product quickly, define the process, and automate the users' intent to create the punch and die design assemblies. Features of 3DQuickPress include a powerful unfolding capability, including stamped part ‘formed’ features, dies set design, strip layout manager and production level drawing templates.

Powerful unfolding capabilities which include feature recognition technology, are able to transform SolidWorks sheet metal parts for imported data and provide knowledge base for bend and spring back allowance. Die set design begins after finishing the strip layout. 3DQuickPress will automatically create all punches defined in the strip design.

Production-level templates assists users in inserting home-made components into die set structures with minimal manual operations. The key functions of the Strip Layout Manager are optimization, support multiple parts, split punch, notch punch design, mismatch undercuts, partial bend, and report on material utilization.
